“here’s to 2008!”

welcome to my new year’s eve (eve) blog!

this week has been filled with sweets, wii games and food! but it’s been great! it was even better with it being ali’s first christmas.
i’m working tomorrow and i think in the evening nikki and me are going to the cinema. still deciding what film to go and see. please help us decide.

i think this will be my last blog of 2007 :’( sad i know lol, but lets look forward to 2008!!

my first christmas blog! woop! currently sitting on the bean bag eating sweets and drinking jägermeister. (which i got for christmas)

we’ve had a great day playing on the wii and watching ali being confused with all the toys around him.
i’m working tomorrow which is bad but i think i’ve got the day off after! good times.
there’s plenty of photos on facebook and myspace of ali’s first christmas for you to look at. we think he enjoyed it.

bison and chips anyone?

welcome to another edition of ‘rob stead and the world around him’.

as you read yesterday, we went out last night…not to frankie & benny’s but to chiquito’s! it took ages for us to decide where to eat because it ended up that we didn’t book at frankie & benny’s and there was no room for us lol. it didn’t matter to me where we ate because i’d been to neither of the restaurants.
i decided to try something off the menu i’d never had before. bison burger!

one of those! (not the whole of it though haha!)

it was actually pretty tasty, very tasty in fact. we also had nachos for starter and traditional chocolate cake for dessert.

lets go back in time for a second.

i was putting on tea when i found this huge chip! (why’s this blog all about food lol!)

i was like, wow! lol

another celebration!

on tuesday it was ali’s quarter birthday! 3 months old exactly! so we all have to say “happy quarter birthday” to ali

you can’t see it properly in the photo but we put a candle in a chocolate muffin

tonight we’re going out for a meal with work at frankie & benny’s which should be fun! i’ve never been before so after this blog i’ll go and have a look for the online menu.

the cable guy came round yesterday to install a digital ariel so we could have freeview in the bedroom and our living room. we also got a freeview hard drive recorder, so no more video tapes! yey!

40th blog entry!

happy birthday blog! 40 entries since february. i think i’ve done pretty well i won’t be ending my blog anytime soon.

i’m going to add a couple more photos in this blog to fill a little space because i haven’t much to say tonight lol.

warning:
if you’re eating, you’d better go onto another web page while you finish, because the next part is pretty disgusting.
on thursday at work, a customer came in with a car seat to be repaired with new polystyrene. to do that you need to take the seat cover off, then you can reach the polystyrene to replace it. it took longer than usual to repair because under the cover looked like a rubbish bin. it was full of moldy food, sweets, a pen!? and even 6p! lol. You can see for yourself below…

how horrible is that! we are never letting ali’s things get like that! no food in car seats or push chairs for him. it made me and paul feel sick. i have to mention the good job paul did at cleaning it out. (notice he had to wear latex gloves)

that’s that done with.

and to end with…the catalogue for hawkin’s bazaar came through the door today, with my proper title written at the top lol!

the past two weeks!

good evening world.

i once again write from the comfort of the bedroom, but this time with ali by my side. as soon as i’ve finished this blog, he’s going for his bath so i won’t be writing much this evening. sorry to all those expecting an essay this evening.

the weekend before last we went up to clitheroe to visit my parents. it was nice to go back and see if anything had changed. not much to be honest except the trees outside the 6th form had gone and loads of new staff at tesco. my room was exactly the same as i left it a few months ago. it also seemed that little bit colder up north lol.

then this last weekend it was mamas & papas christmas party in chester. i think it was an enjoyable evening. we didn’t get much food on the plate put there was plenty of choice. the turkey was massive! the dessert was my favourite, a nice big slice of chocolate cake. photos of the party can be seen on both facebook and myspace profiles.

this entry was longer than i expected lol.
